January 26, 2012 – Jenn + Toby are married (in Jamaica)

I know I’m 26 days late, but Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2012 brings you all happiness and be a fantastic one. I can’t believe January is already done, its supposed to be a down time month for me, but under the contrary, it’s been insanely busy and super awesome! LIKE SUPER AWESOME!!! I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great people, photographing new venues for Bar Mitzvah’s, super duper cute babies and just so much going on.

With all this craziness, I was still able to finish editing Jenn and Toby’s wedding from Jamaica. What better way than to start my first blog of the year than a beautiful destination wedding. Jenn and Toby were married on December 5, this was also my 1 year anniversary, which was also the day they were engaged a year prior. So this date is very sentimental to us all. The morning of the wedding was very relaxed, all the bridesmaids ended up getting ready in my room because it was closest to their beach ceremony location. It worked out amazing, the weather was hot and gorgeous and just how it should be. It was a very emotional ceremony, everyone cried, except the bride! Everything was perfect, it was a great day and amazing super fun night at the disco, which I’ll keep those photos and stories in the private file lol. That’s all I’m saying. December 29, 2011 – Jenn + Toby are engaged (in Jamaica)

On November 30th 2011, 25 of us jumped on air planes and flew to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We stayed at the Grand Palladium to enjoy the week celebration of Jenn + Toby’s wedding. We did 2 engagement sessions, the sun goes down so quick that we decided to split the sessions into 2 days so we can enjoy the sun during the day, and once 4pm hit, we went out for the session. The hotel was stunning, there were so many nukes and crannies to take photos… I really wanted to take advantage of them, we had a blast! The wedding will be coming shortly, there are so many photos to go through, we had such a great time. Here are a few from their engagement session to start the ball rolling. Enjoy~

December 9, 2011 – Melany + Marcin are married!

Melany + Marcin’s wedding was the second last wedding of the year for me. It was a perfect Oct day for me, they had me cover the ceremony and then the bridal portraits at Trafalgar Castle. I could not be more thrilled with the turn out of their photos, Melany was all about her and Martin, the more time with them the merrier, it was a photographers dream We got some amazing classic portraits, one’s that will be cherished by the two of them forever! In a word… TIMELESS!!

This photo of Melany is one of my favourites, I want to frame it and put it in my studio…

November 22, 2011 – Wild Strawberry Hair Shoot

My good friends at Wild Strawberry Hair Salon (www.thewildstrawberrysalon.com) in Richmond Hill asked me to come in and do a shoot to show case their looks with hair and make up. The salon and the staff are awesome, so friends, professional and they offer loads of services… one stop shop!

November 19, 2011 – Wendi + Kim are married!

I swear I think my blog photo selections are getting bigger and bigger which each wedding… It is sooo hard to narrow down, there are so many great shots! If I say so myself and toot my own horn and Al’s of course.

On October 14th, Wendi + Kim got married at The Avenue banquet, we started the morning off at The Novotel and hung out there for the day, getting ready, doing our big reveal, playing in the subway station hehe… it was great. The wedding ceremony was truly touching and filled with love and emotion. Wendi + Kim said their vows to each other in a whisper to each other, it was so personal, brought tears to theirs and everyone elses’ eyes. They finished off the day with a party of champs, great music, great people, great couple.

October 26, 2011 – Kristel + Mike are married!

After 3 engagement sessions and a year of anticipation and excitement of getting married, Kristel + Mike tied the knot on September 24, the ceremony was lovely, the park was hot and steamy and the venue was decorated beautifully.

The whole week leading up to their wedding, the weather was calling for rain and over cast… over cast I can deal with but rain… blah and we were scheduled to go to Humber College for photos so rain I did not want. To our delight there was ZERO rain and ZERO over cast, some how the sun gods listened to our prayers and came out. From a calling cast of 16 and rain, it turned out to be 25 and sunny… ok enough about the weather!

This couple is awesome… I can’t say enough nice things about them, they are so genuine, so in love… Mike is such a joker, we had some serious laughs that made for some great shots! To no surprise, we are definitely building a fantastic friendship and are planning a 80′s movie marathon night

I don’t want to babble to much because this is a LOOONG photo blog… lots of pics on this one, I couldn’t cull it down anymore, I just LOVED their photos, Al and I killed this one! Enjoy~

October 24, 2011 – Georgina + Travis are engaged

Wow, 3 blogs in one week… I’m on a roll… and rolling on through to Georgina and Travis’ engagement session… They were #2 engagement of the day on Thanksgiving Monday, it was 27 degrees, hot and sunny but being Fall, Georgina wanted the look of Fall… so sweaters and boots and I was wearing shorts and t’s lol. It was a site to see, but in 50 years, who’ll remember the weather, all they will know is the gorgeous colors, the beaming sun and the gorgeous couple. We went to Sibbald Point in Sutton, we kept away from the beach area, keeping with the fall theme and going into the woods and walking around. It was awesome! Laughs, Love and growing freindships… Georgina and Travis are such a cute couple, so in love, so sweet… I am so looking forward to these two’s June wedding, it’s going to be a great day and after photographing them at their engagement session, this couple will definitely make my job easy on their wedding day! October 21, 2011 – Mazal Tov Adam

I haven’t blogged a Bar/Bat Mitzvah in a while, not because I haven’t done any, i’ve been swamped with work and been doing tons of Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, engagement, so they will all come soon enough. For now though I wanted to showcase Adam’s bar mitzvah photos.

He is such a great kid, extremely talented in all he does and just an all around nice, genuine guy. I can honestly say that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, the whole family is just awesome.

We did a full rehearsal shoot prior to the bar mitzvah since I can’t take pictures on Saturday and it was really great, the weather totally cooperated and we got great shots, with zero stress on time or anything. This kid photographs WELL… it’s all I gotta say!

They had a luncheon at The Avenue (www.theavenuebanquethall.com), their center pieces were pretty cool… Adam is all about animals, so they put together these huge gift baskets of donations received from pet stores around the GTA and they donated all them to the humane society. I think that is pretty awesome, even his smash cake was in the shape of dog paw and their table number cards was a bone shaped as a chocolate bar.

We also put together a really nice signing board, we went through tons of photo albums and chose one photo for the last 13 years and also a bunch of others that really represented who Adam is. Everything came together and it was an awesome day. Ok, going to stop rambling, here are a few shots from the day!

October 19, 2011 – Svedlana + John are engaged

I met this lovely couple at another wedding I did this summer. They are getting married Sept 1 long weekend 2012, so we decided to do a Fall engagement session. We went to Edwards Gardens on Thankgiving Long weekend, you can’t get more fall than that, but to our surprise it was 27 degrees outside, so their fall session turned into a summer one. The park was packed with people, the sun was shining and we had a really great time. See for yourselves…

September 25, 2011 – Roxanne + Brad are married!

Labour Day weekend, Roxanne and Brad tied the knot at Oakview Terrace in Richmond Hill. We should have predicted the weather, maybe not the rain but the humidity and the heat because when we did their engagement session at The Badlands, it was probably one of the hottest days in the summer, we melted! So it only made sense the weather was what it was…

Either way, we made the best of it… the rain only hit early in the afternoon and stopped right before the ceremony and held out the rest of the day/night, it was perfect. Everyone at the wedding, family, bridal party of 14 and guests were super nice and fun to photograph! Al and I got so many great shots, it was hard to cull through them for the blog. I’ll keep this blog short and sweet because of the amount of photos I included in the blog.

Congrats to Roxanne and Brad!

Al tried some cool composite with them… it looks awesome!
