It was a wet and dreary day on Saturday May 9th but that did not stop the joy and love that Amber and Josh shared together.   I was a 2nd shooter for Gail at Nightingailphotography.com and we had a great time.  They had 3 different photograph locations all within 10-15 min of each other so it was fun having different backdrops… they were all troopers especially with the weather we were having!

Being Earth Day, thought I’d share some facts and “did you know” tid-bits I found on the net:

• The garbage in a landfill stays for a for about 30 years.
• Each person throws away approximately four pounds of garbage every day.
• One bus carries as many people as 40 cars!
• We each use about 12,000 gallons of water every year
• 1/3 of all water is used to flush the toilet.
• The energy we save when we recycle one glass bottle is enough to light a traditional light bulb for four hours
• For every 2000 pounds of paper (1 ton) recycled, we save 7,000 gallons of water free from chemicals.

So now on another note:

I was at the Vaughan Bridal Show last night, I’ll be there again tonight.  I met some fantastic people, vendors and brides-to-be!  I have a listing on The Ring Bearer site (http://www.theringbearer.ca) and met Cris and many of the other gang from there, who are awesome people!!! Very friendly and helpful… go onto the site and check it out.  It’s a great website that has tons of information and vendors a bride and groom could ever need and want!  Plus, the forum has a lot of fun posts from other brides.   It’s a great resource and it’s GREEN friendly!!! 🙂

Hope everyone had a great holiday with lots of food!  I know I did…

So, what’s new?  well, I’m getting pretty booked for 2009… dates are now pretty limited.  It would be nice to finish up my 2009.  I have a few left for fall (october and November) and want to offer a $150 discount for any package booked.

I’ll also be at the Vaughan Bridal Show next week, April 21 and April 22.  It’s at the The Terrace Banquet Hall

It’s a great show… this will be my 3rd year as an exhibitor.

I also, on the side, want to start designing wedding invitations.  I figure since I’m a graphic designer why not start incorporating that also.  What can I say, I want to be a one stop shop.  I’m in the works on building a few different samples and getting a bunch of paper samples with package prices so, I’ll post some up when ready or contact me and we can figure out a custom invite for you.

The passed few weeks I’ve been going nuts, working away, getting ready for the trade show tonight (Tues March 24) at Meron Banquet Hall (1600 Steeles Ave West), hosted by Marla Kay (the best event planner I know!).  I’m so excited to display my work, everything is new from 2008 weddings, even my banner is new.  I can’t wait to show case everything and see what the feed back is.  On top of that, I’ve been finishing up wedding albums for brides & grooms and just getting prepared for a great 2009.  I’m really excited for everything to come.

Maria & Adam – Married Feb 7, 2009

I met Maria and Adam at The Total Wedding Show at the International Centre last year.  They were great and just let me go nuts with photos.  We had 2 engagement sessions, one in summer and one in winter, so when it was time for the wedding they were no strangers on what to do and were definitely not shy in front of the camera!

Their wedding was February 7th, it was actually nice and warm for a February day… who would of thought. Thank goodness it was though, most of the photos were done outside at Allan Gardens with the Bride, Groom and Bridal Party. They were all so great and just willing to do anything and everything for the photos… Gail was my second shooter for the day (Nightingail Photography) and we just had a blast! Here are just a few samples.
