Their wedding is in Oct and I’m really looking forward to it… especially after seeing these engagement photos.  They both did such a great job and were a pleasure to photograph! Congrats to the both of them and will be seeing you in Oct for the big day!

I’ve been engaged for a year already and my wedding is in 75 days but who’s counting… this is a personal post to show you my engagement photos with our photographers.  So who does a photographer hire to photograph her wedding, you ask?  It was a simple choice really, I met Ryan and Erika from Rowell Photo (www.rowellphoto.com) last year November when I did a one on one mentoring session with them.  Their technique and crisp eye and photos caught my eye.  Plus their personalities were very layed back and easy which is good for Jon (my fiance).  Jon HATES having his photo taken, it’s funny he’s marrying a photographer but we don’t really mix business with pleasure, but I needed photographers who were light and easy to work with and Ryan and Erika were a pretty easy choice.

It was a hot and beautiful day on Friday the 13th in August when Lori + Dan tied the knot at Oakview Terrace in Richmond Hill.  Friends and family joined in the afternoon for the ceremony on the on site chapel, enjoyed great cocktails while waiting for their photos to be done and then entered in for a great reception of great food, nice speeches, dancing and drinks and of course we can’t forget that spider.  Lori + Dan gave us so much time for photos, it was ideal… we got some great shots it was hard to narrow it down for the blog.  We then went out at night and got some amazing night shots.

Amanda celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on June 20th at Meron Banquet Hall.  What a party! This young lady is so talented in dance, she put on two mini dance routines that were just amazing.  She is just amazing… so sweet.  I met up with the Farber’s about a year ago, it’s crazy to think how fast the year went by, Nelly (mom) and I became very close and good friends.  We had a lot of fun with the planning process.  They came to the studio months before the party so we can do a full photoshoot for Amanda’s signing board, her web table cards, and the mini photo that went on the photobooth photos.  I included them all cause they were all just great, it was hard to choose and narrow down.  Amanda is the perfect model, gorgeous number 1, but has so much personality it makes each photo so much fun… oh she doesn’t blink, which is always a bonus. I also included photos of Amanda’s sister Jessica, who is also a cutie and a great model… the two of them need to be locked up when they get older, Nelly and Scott, you will have your hands full! 🙂 in a very very good way….

Kelly from Designed Elegance Custom Invitations & Stationary asked me to photograph her new line of invitations for her new upcoming website.  I could not say no, her invitations are just beautiful, she is in fact designing my wedding invitations also.  I  met Kelly in April 2005, we met at a wedding show, I was the vendor and she was the bride-to-be, her wedding was June 2006… since then she just can’t get away from me! 🙂  We started as most, I photographed their engagement session and then the wedding, then of course her baby bump, and to follow I met their new addition to their family, cute Kherington and well, so on and on.  I was so happy to hear Kelly was joining the wedding world of fun!
